Motorcycle riding tips

Storing your Motorcycle
Outside a single white snowflake falls... Disbelief falls on your face as another snowflake falls... Then you realize, another riding year over and it's time to put the bike away for the winter. This is the time to get in that last few riding days and put our bikes properly away for the winter so they are ready for the next riding season to start again.   More

> How to prepare yourself for winter
In winter you need to protect yourself from the cold and damp as well as from other vehicles. You can ride anywhere and anytime as long as you’re warm, dry and have good visibility.
OK, so riding in the colder weather does require a steely nerve and meticulous dressing-up ritual akin to a medieval knight suiting up for battle. In fact, let’s think about riding through winter in this vein; with the correct equipment, the cold and wet can easily be defeated .....  >More

How to Lay Down the Bike
When faced with a potentially dangerous situation, it's generally best to remain upright on your bike. Remember, tire rubber has an immense amount of traction. However, plastic, steel, and chrome (the materials found on the side of the bike) offer almost no traction. When you stay on your motorcycle instead of letting it slide, you'll be better able to stop in time or swerve out of the way. The only possible time where it might be a better idea to purposely end up on the ground is when it's better than the alternative, like going over a guardrail down a cliff or into the middle of a ten-car pile-up. Once you lay down a bike, you have absolutely no control .....  More
Check Out this Side Car!
sidecar
Here's someone who has made from a Laverda motorcycle a sidecar. Not just any sidecar, but a supercar sidecar, including gulfwing doors. The sidecar part looks amazing, a true work of art. It's almost like it came straight out of the factory.work of art. It's almost like it came straight out of the factory .....  More

The Savannah chapter of Buffalo Soldiers participated in the 5th annual Wreaths for Warriors Walk Ceremony

Savannah Buffalo Soldiers

The Savannah chapter of Buffalo Soldiers participated in the 5th annual Wreaths for Warriors Walk Ceremony on 10 December, 2011 which was held at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Warriors Walk was started in 2003 during the initial Operation of Iraqi Freedom. When a Soldier assigned or attached to the 3d Infantry Division died on that initial deployment, a tree was planted in their honor along Warriors Walk. Since that first deployment the 3rd Infantry Division has been deployed to Iraq several times and several units have also deployed to Afghanistan. Over 400 trees now line the walk. If you have never been to this hallowed ground, you should come and walk among the trees, read the names and see the mementos that family and friends have left in remembrance of their loved ones. Members of the Savannah Buffalo Soldiers placed Wreaths on some of these trees in honor of the sacrifice of the Soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our freedom and also to demonstrate to the families of these fallen Soldiers that their dedication and commitment will never be forgotten.

Lest we forget!

Your Patch
You got it from the Dream Maker
It was all he had to give
So it’s yours to use and cherish
For as long as you live

It was clean the day you took it
And a worthy patch to bear
When you receive this patch
There is no dishonor there

If you lose the patch he gave you
It can always be replaced
Put a black mark on your name it can
Never be erased

So make sure you guard it wisely
After all is said and done
You will be glad the patch is spotless
When it’s earned by another one

ONE CLUB ONE PATCH ONE MINDSET!

Joke of the Month!
motorcycle
Two guys were riding on a motorcycle. The first guy says, "Man, I am freezing back here!" So the second guy says, "Well hang on and I will stop. We can turn your jacket around and that will block the wind. So the two guys stop and the guy turns his jacket around. They both get back on the bike and head on down the road. A few moments later, the guy on the front of the bike realized that his buddy was not answering him so he turned around and sure enough he was gone. He said, "Oh my god he's my buddy. I have to go back for him!" Well he went back down the road and saw a bunch of farmers standing in the middle of the road. He stopped the bike and ran over to them and screamed out if he was alright. One farmer looked at him and said, "He seemed to be ok until we turned his head around the right way. He hasn't said a word since!"
If you have a good one submit it!smiley
